Chidinma Adetshina has emerged the first -runner up at the 73rd Miss Universe Competition which held on Saturday, November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico city.
The Beauty Queen competed against 120 contested around the world in a pageant described as the most inclusive in Miss Universe history featuring Iran and Somalia as first timers and an expanded line up of 30 semi – finalists.
Adetshina rose to become one of the top five contestants after which she secured the second place behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kpaer Theilvig winner of the prestigious crown.
By her feat, Adetshina has made history as the first Nigerian to finish second at the Miss Universe..
Before journeying to the ultimate Miss Universe Pageant price, Adetshina was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria.. This came after she was invited to Nigeria by the Silver bird group after emerging as finalist in Miss South Africa pageant and slammed with accusation of identity theft by South Africa Homeland Ministry.
