Again, the National Grid has collapsed sending many Nigerians to either remain in darkness or seek alternative sources of power.
The collapse happened about 2.pm Wednesday.
However, in a statement on X,an official said ” A major grid setback has occurred and restoration is to commence “
As of 4’14pm , work appears to be ongoing as he grid has yet to be restored.
The latest incident makes it the 12 time that the grid would collapse this year. The frequent failure of the National Grid exposes the vulnerability of the power sector and more action isn’t expected from the government to ensure uniterrrupted supply of power to attract the much needed investment.
