The Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Charles Osikhena Orbih, has taken over as the new Zonal Coordinator of Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.
A statement by Akanineyen Edeminam, Superintendent of Customs, Zonal Public Relations Officer confirmed this to newsmen on Wednesday.
In his inaugural address, ACG Orbih emphasized the importance of teamwork, innovation, and stakeholder engagement to achieve the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s policy objectives of Consolidation, Collaboration, and Innovation.
ACG Orbih is expected to bring decades of experience to his new role, having served as Customs Area Controller for Imo/Abia Command, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command, and Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘C’.
His leadership and management expertise, honed through local and global professional courses, will likely enhance Zone ‘A’s operational efficiency.
Before his appointment, Orbih served as Customs Area Controller for Imo/Abia Command and Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command, as well as Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘C’.
He is a member of various professional bodies and has attended leadership and management courses locally and globally.
Our Correspondent reports that ACG Orbih is an active member of St John’s College, Fugar, Old Boys Association with branches worldwide.
