The Police in Kogi have confirmed the arrest of one Abdulmugeet Musari for the attempted murder of his friend, Usman Tijani.in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect was said to have lured his friend to a burial ground,robbed him of N200,000 and slit his throat.
The victim,19- year old Usman Tijani is a student of Confluence University of Science and Technology and a Point of Sale ( P.o.S) operator.
Current matters gathered that the suspect fled the scene after committing the heinous act to a neighbouring community where he was apprehended by security agencies.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command,SP Williams Aya, said the suspect is in custody and under investigation.
He added that the suspect will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded.
Meanwhile, the victim is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in Lokoja, the state capital.
