Amid mounting set of crises,Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister is expected to announce his resignation as the leader of the ruling Liberal Party.
The resignation is expected before a national meeting caucus meeting on Wednesday, current matters gathered from Reuters and CNN
Trudeau has led the Liberal Party for 11 years and spent nine years as Prime Minister.
He is currently facing low opinion polls, and tariff threats from the US president- elect , Donald Trump whose inauguration for a second term in office comes up on January 20..
Trudeau’s government suffered a major upset by the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister,Chrystia Freeland last month.
It is unclear if he would resign as Prime minister.or simply hold on till the next election on or before October 20.
Meanwhile, the opposition Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poillevre, Trump’s favoured candidate, is waxing stronger in national polls to take over from the Liberal Party.
