The Defence Headquarters reveals that several ISWAP/BOKO haram terrorists have been killed by troops deployed in Sabon Gari village of Damboa local government area of Borno state in combat operations.
In a statement , the Director Defence media operations, Major General Edward Buba said that the terrorists attempted to stage an attack on troops to retaliate the recent killing of their commander and combatants.
The terrorists were engaged by troops on patrol while returning to base, foiling their planned attack
Similarly, the air component of operation Hadin Kai conducted air interdiction on the fleeing terrorists, with battle damage assessment revealing several terrorists were killed and weapons recovered.
