Rivers State Governor, Siminilayi Fubara has restated that the reason behind the political crisis is the control of the resources of the state.
The governor made this known at the 51st Birthday celebration of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the Founder of Omega Power Ministries OPM on Monday in Port Harcourt
Addressing the congregation he said” There is a reason for this crisis and that reason is the control of the resources of Rivers State. Rivers State resources belong to you, and we’ll make sure that the resources are applied judiciously for the betterment of Rivers State “
In view of this,the governor called on the church to pray for his administration to achieve its purpose for the state.
” What you owe us is just one thing. Continue to pray for us. Let us not lose focus because we know the devil is always at work to derail people in government ‘
” I believe with your prayers,we will not lose focus and the purpose of governance will be achieved in Rivers State “
To the celebrant, the governor praised his sense of philanthropy particularly in the area of educational initiatives aimed at providing children with employability skills .
Gov Fubara who noted that he inherited decayed public amenities upon assumption of office, said there was the need for all hands on deck to rebuild the state .
