The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA has given an update of a fire incident that occurred at Fallujah Shopping Mall in Yola , the Adamawa Statement capital.
NEMA ,in a statement on Thursday, said that the fire started “at approximately 8:30pm, yesterday night, resulting in the destruction of property worth millions of Naira. The incident sent flames and thick black smoke into the sky, causing panic among residents and business owners in the area.
“Emergency response teams, including the Federal Fire Service, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), were swiftly deployed to contain the inferno and assess the situation. Their timely intervention prevented further escalation of the disaster.
“No casualties have been reported. However, twelve shops were completely consumed by the fire, leading to significant losses, including phones and accessories.
“Firefighting operations have been concluded, affected area cordoned and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident
