The High Court Sitting in Port Harcourt ,Rivers State has ordered an Interim injunction restraining the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP and Chief Dan Orbih from Conducting the South South Zonal Congress in Calabar or anywhere else.
In a suit filed by Hon. Tony Uchechukwu and Hon. Field Nkor,both candidates for National Ex – officio member and Financial Secretary respectively , South South Zonal Working Committee ,PDP , the court restrained the Defendants / Respondents , their organs,agents , servants,assigns and privies from conducting the election on February 22 or any other date pending the determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction.
The order given by Justice G. V Obomanu also directed parties to maintain status Quo ante as at 20th February 2025, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction..
