Abducted National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has regained freedom after 12 days in captivity
Current matters learned that his release was confirmed by the National Secretary of the Youths Council, Biodun Aderohunmu, on Saturday.
Olajuni was abducted on Monday, February 17, 2025, on his way to Abuja for a meeting.
His abductors had demanded N100m and two tricycles as ransom for his release
Although details leading to his release have yet been made public, the Nigeria Police Force announced that it would ensure the safe release of the youth leader who,in a viral video was held at gun point by his abductors.
Subsequently,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun, ordered the deployment of the Intelligence Response Team to secure the safe release of the Afenifere Youth Leader .
