… Vows To Hold FG Responsible Should Anything Happen To Family
A meeting of Rivers State Leaders of Thought on Sunday in Abuja, gave the Federal Government 48 hours ultimatum to unmask those behind the invasion of Justice Mary Odili’s residence in Abuja
Addressing the gathering of the Rivers leaders comprising National , State Assembly members and local government chairmen among others, the State Governor, Nyesom Wike said that the denial of non involvement in the invasion of the residence by federal government officials particularly the Attorney General of the Federation was not enough.
He argued that as a responsible government,it ought not to have taken 24 hours for the federal government to tell Nigerians what actually happened since the names of key players in the sad episode – the police officer , the supposed whistle blower and the Chief Magistrate were already in public domain.
Describing the incident as an attempt on the lives of the former governor, his wife and other members of his family, Wike warned that the state and his people would hold the Federal Government responsible should anything untoward happens to any member of the family.
