The Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba has deployed a new Police Commissioner for Plateau State.
He is Bartholomew Nnamdi Onyeka and hails from Nkume in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.
Force Spokesman CP Frank Mba who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday said the former Police Commissioner, Edward Egbuka has been redeployed to the Force Headquarters for other national engagements.
The IGP charged the new Police Commissioner to bring his community building experience to bear in his new assignment to improve public safety and security of lives and property in the state
The deployment followed the impeachment of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Nuhu Abok Ayuba by 8 members and replaced by Yakubu Sanda.
Several protests have rocked the Plateau State House of Assembly since the impeachment
The new CP holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and a Masters degree in Defence Studies from the Punjab University,India
He has served in Bauchi, Imo ,Abia, Zamfara State commands and Zone 1 headquarters Kano in operational,investigative and administrative capacities.
