Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA defied the sleepy hours of Wednesday morning and filed out of their homes to celebrate the victory of their party at the just concluded polls.
The Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar had about 2a.m read the content of form ECIA which has the results of all candidates and winner.
Speaking afterwards, APGA’s Agent, Chief Victor Uneh advised parties who lost in the election to take it in good faith.
Umeh noted that the All Progressives Congress APC did not sign the form enabling it to concede defeat saying that APGA has done well for the state and was rightly positioned to win the election.
In his acceptance speech, the Governor- elect,Prof. Charles Soludo said the victory was divine and.promised to work hard to give the people a new lease of life.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN commended the Judiciary, President Muhammadu Buhari for instilling hope in the people and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for the innovation in the conduct of election.
He extended his hand of fellowship to all contestants saying they are all brothers and advised all to give the spirit of Anambra alive.
