The political arena in Nigeria is gradually becoming interesting and noisome as preparation for the 2023 general election is in top gear.
It has become imperative to advice the electorates not to allow the politicians to pump their heads like a hot air balloon with empty promises that will never see the light of the day. The electorates must not be carried away by wind of political party or ethnicity, tribalism and nepotism, because Nigeria is a multi ethnic, multi tribal, multi regional, and multi religious country. Don’t be deceived by self painted manifestations of the various parties being showcased rather the personality of the individual they present, the ideology they preach and the capability of their Aspirants. Don’t engage yourself in vote buying, which has eaten deep into the country’s democratic bone marrow.
Nigeria is our nation, the decision on who holds which office largely depends on the electorates. We should make the right decision in order to have a better democratic Nigeria. Never vote because of political parties or religion, ethnicity. Vote a candidate that is ready to work for the betterment of the people by delivering the basic necessities of life. Moreover, the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission, must as a matter of urgency steps up its voter Education awareness campaign to ensure a free, fair and credible electoral process.
