In readiness for the FCT Area Council Elections scheduled to hold on the 12th February, 2022, the FCT Police Command has alerted the general public with the emergency response system put in place via the creation of a “9 sector re-enforcement team “ comprising of the Police and other sister agencies.
A statement by the Public Relations officer, Josephine Adeh, in Abuja says that the sectored reenforcement team is independent and shouldn’t be confused with the standard deployment of two (2 ) unarmed Police personnel at each Polling unit across the state as required by standard best practices.
“The arrangement was however made to cater for the event of an emergency, totally ruling out the possibility of an overwhelming security breach, as well as availing residents with an immediate response option”, it noted.
Below is a list of the various sectors and their corresponding contacts.
