The Minister of Education,Adamu Adamu says Unity schools and other colleges will not participate in the 2020 WASSCE starting on August 4.
Adamu disclosed this in Abuja after a virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council(FEC)
He said that students will only resume when it is safe for them to go back to school.adding that WAEC cannot determine date of resumption of school for Nigeria
The development is in contrast to Federal Government earlier decision which allowed schools to open for the 2020 WASSCE from August 4
Schools in Nigeria have been closed for about 4months following outbreak of Covid-19 in the country
