……describes statement issued by CECPC Secretary as purported
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Commitee CECPC, Gov Mai Mala Buni has rescinded the decision on dissolution of convention planning subcommitees saying all decisions made by his Niger State Counterpart, Governor Sani Bello remain valid.
The Secretary of the CECPC, Senator John Akpanudodehe had earlier on Thursday issued a statement dissolving the subcommitees set up and inaugurated by Bello.
But in a new twist of the unending imbroglio, on Thursday afternoon, Buni said in a statement that” the purported suspension of some activities initiated and executed by the CECPC under the acting chairman and Niger State Governor,H.E . Mohammed Sani Bello, IS NOT TRUE
” Therefore, all activities that were done in my absence remain valid and binding. All party stakeholders and member are hereby advised to disregard the previous statement discarding the activities of the committee under the leadership of the acting chairman”
Buni recalled that since he duly transmitted power to Bello before he travelled for medical treatment , “therefore, all actions and measures taken by the committee under its leadership as acting chairman, remain effective”
Bello had reorganised the subcommitees set up by Buni pruning the number from 1000 to 107 .
