The Obi of Awka, ,Eze uzu III of Awka, Austin Ndigwe says by fighting with the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the wife of the former governor of Anambra State,Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has descretated Awka Land.
To this end, Mrs Obiano has been given seven days to publicly apologize to Igbo people or face dire consequences.
The monarch gave the warning in a statement issued in Awka on Friday following the fisticuffs between the two women at the inauguration of the new governor of Anambra State on Thursday.
He said the actions of the former governor’s wife is sacrilegious and demands cleansing of the land.
Obi Ndigwe said he had spoken with Mrs Ojukwu who gave him a run down of the circumstances leading to the fight.
He said Bianca had told him that what angered her was that Mrs Obiano walked to her and called her unprintable names, including querying her presence at the swearing- in ceremony.
The mornarch said that a study of the scenario showed a deliberate plan by Mrs Obiano to disrupt the swearing- in ceremony adding that Mrs Obiano’s action was not only against Bianca but an insult to her late husband and founder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ojukwu.
