The Minister of Women Affairs,Dame Pauline Talen on Monday visited the home of the late “Ekwueme” singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu at Lugbe located along the airport road in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja.
It was gathered that the Minister known for her zero tolerance for abuse on Women had gone there with her entourage to have a first hand knowledge of the cause of death of the late singer.
Osinachi died on Friday at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja.
A relative of hers had told newsmen on Saturday that there were blood clots in the deceased chest area after her husband, Peter Nwachukwu kicked her in the chest which possibly resulted in her death.
On Sunday, operatives of the Nigerian Police Force acting on lodged complaint by the deceased younger brother, stormed the Lugbe residence of the late singer and arrested her husband.
Mr Nwachukwu was alleged to have toxically abused the wife even before her colleagues and relations making some of them to describe him as a beast.
