Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has disqualified two Presidential aspirants from the primaries scheduled for May 29 and 30, 2022.
The disqualified aspirants are to forfeit the N40 million each paid for the expression of interest and nomination forms.
The Chairman of the Screening Committee, Senator David Mark announced the disqualification on Friday evening.
The Screening of those seeking the number one office of the country began today.
No fewer than 17 members of the party are aspiring for the office of president.
They include, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Governori Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Governor Bala Mohammed, Former Vice President,Atiku Abubakar,Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Former Governor of Anambra State,Peter Obi, and Publisher of Ovation magazine,Dele Momodu.
