Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reportedly nominated another woman,Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the state
Ngozi Odu is a professor of Food, Microbiology and Public Health,PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Port Harcourt Rivers State.
A source disclosed this to current matters on Tuesday under condition of anonymity.
Odu, a former Commissioner of the state hails from Omoku in the Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers West
The current Deputy Governor hails from Bonny and Degema Local Government Area of same Rivers West.
Before Odu ‘s nomination was made known to this publication, another former female commissioner name was dropped as proposed running mate to the state gubernatorial candidate, Siminialayi Fubara.
It was also gathered that the key opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress( APC) is also fielding a former female member of the House of Assembly who represented Rivers East as running mate to its flagbearer,Arch Tonye Cole.
