The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) has released cut off marks for Nigerian universities and Colleges of Education .
The approval is one of the key decisions reached at the ongoing Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in the country.
According to a statement on Thursday by JAMB ‘s Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the cut off mark for universities is 140 and above for admission into public universities in 2022.
The Board approved a cut off mark of 100 for admission into Polytechnics and Colleges of Education
Oloyede said every institution has the right to fix its cut off mark even up to 220 but no one would be allowed to go less than the agreed minimum marks of 100 College of Education,100 for Polytechnics and 140 for Universities.
He revealed that a total of 378,639 of the 1,761,338 candidates who wrote the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( UTME) scored 200 and above.
