President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday conferred Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service ( NEAPS) on Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State and 43 others..
The event which took place at the State House, Abuja also had former president, GoodLuck Jonathan, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan,Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajiabiamila and other prominent Nigerians as recipients.
NEAPS was set up to recognise excellence in leadership , service in public ,private sectors,or humanitarian service excelling consistently in a given sphere of influence,in good character standing and must be at the forefront of service and innovation.
Wike was recognised for setting a pace in infrastructural development of the country..
The Rivers Governor ‘s construction of 12 flyovers and other landmark projects in the state made his nomination obvious.
