… Rivers people are celebrating your failure
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has cautioned his predecessor,Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to desist from berating his administration saying even the blind can see what his administration has offered the people of the state “but it’s only agents of Satan that can never be happy when good things are going on”
Wike said this on Saturday at the commissioning of a road project in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The governor’s reaction came two days after the former governor and immediate past Minister of Transportation on campaign to some wards in the state said he saw no reason why the people of the state shoudl be celebrating as he also constructed roads and flyovers during his tenure.
Wike however reminded the former governor how he promised constructing a number of projects and attracting Federal Government’s presence to the state which he failed to do pointing out that the former governor “lacked the morals to talk as far as this state is concerned”
“I have told people to be careful of the statement they make. You don’t have any morals to talk as far as this state is concerned.lm sure in your quiet moment you feel so bad and would say I was wrong.”
The governor said his administration’s performance could be felt from the airport through major roads and flyovers adding that he ( Wike) constructed the road leading to Amaechi’s house and even built a school in his community.
Wike said the 2023 election is different from the 2019 , and would not have a replay of soldiers interfering in the election as was the case then and dared the former governor to do so.
” This election is not like 2019 election where he he thinks that the Chief of Army Staff would help him to bring soldiers.Dare it again “
The governor recalled that the current phase of commissioning started since 14th November and would end on 2nd December,2022.
While owing the success of his administration to God, Wike assured the people that he would not relent in executing projects that make the people happy until May 29,2023 when his ends.
Earlier, Chief Onueze Okocha SAN had applauded Governor Wike for embarking on projects that touch the lives of the people of the state.
He thanked him for giving his community a facelift and making it to be part of the greater Port Harcourt city.
Among those at the commissioning were, Senator Barry Mpigi, the lawmaker representing Rivers South East and Senatorial Candidate for the District, a Chieftain of the PDP,Chief Dan Orbih, Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Rt the Hon.
