The Founder/General Overseer of Assurance of Faith Gospel Ministries, Pastor John Oseluolemen, has tasked Nigerians to elect a man, who has the fear of God ahead of next months Presidential poll.
He made the appeal in his New Year message.
Pastor Oseluolemen predicted that such a man with that quality is among the current presidential candidates contesting for 2023 general elections.
According to him, God will use the man to turn around positively the fortunes of the nation leading to greatness by guiding him to unlock its immense potentials to attain unprecedented height.
He added that no President can solve Nigeria’s numerous problems without having the fear of God and ready to seek His face all the time especially in crisis situations.
” Nigerians have suffered untold hardship in the hands of clueless leaders and this year’s election shall bring about a new set of leaders that will usher us into a new beginning ” he prophesied.
The General Overseer urged all leaders in the country irrespective of their calling to strive to know the mind of God so that they can serve their people diligently.
” Any President that wants to rule the country successfully must first of all enter into covenant with God” he advised.
He further explained that the President must strive to seek the face of God before sending bills to the National Assembly.
” When you are a man after God’s heart, you are bound to rule successfully especially when you know the needs of people and make moves to meet them” he added.
Pastor Oseluolemen predicted that God will turn things around positively in favour of Nigeria argueing that leaders are not only to rule but should be ready to take responsibility for their actions and inactions while in office and outside the office.
The man of God therefore called on Pastors and Clerics to desist from all forms of iniquity in order to avoid the wrath of God” As Ministers of God, you must keep yourself holy and shun all forms of iniquity”
He added that God will visit Nigeria this year and purge some people of transgression, pointing out that some churches of God will not be spared over unscriptural attitudes of their ministers, particularly those who have abandoned Christian tenets, even in the body of Christ.
The Founder/General Overseer disclosed that many so called men of God resigned from their pastoral duties last year, making some churches to fold up, adding that this year, 2023 many more will fold up as a result of satanic influence in the life of their Pastors.
According to him, those men of God are in the church for their selfish interest not for the work of God.
Pastor Oseluolemen, who declared that 2023 is a year of Dominion and Progress, urged members to take control of situations and circumstances of their environment insisting that God has put everything under their control.
He prayed that 2023 will be a year of double portion in all areas of endeavour.
On the issue of security in Nassarawa State, the man of God was full of praise for Governor Sule Abdullai for his steadfastness and proactiveness in maintaining law and order culminating in effective security system in the state, particularly where his church is situated.
He prayed fervently that God will meet the Governor at the point of his needs.
