Countdown to Edo Guber Election:APC,PDP Spit fire.

Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC,and the Opposition Peoples Democratic party PDP, have intensified their election with the highest voice pitch, each side forecasting victory in an election that is scheduled to hold on September 19

Two chieftains of the Parties, Samson Osagie,a former member of the House of Representatives of the APC and Kenneth Imasuagbon of the PDP were guests on a Channels Television Programme, Sunday Programme, Politics Today,.

The Party Chieftains were asked to give a summary of the incident of violence on Saturday at the premises of the residence of the Oba of Benin,as well give reasons why either of the parties should be voted by the electorates and this was what they said separately.

Imasuagbon said he condemned the agressiom carried out by the APC which he alleged was inspired and supervised by the former governor, Adams Oshiomole.against the people of Edo State.

He said the external aggression of Saturday was similar to the British expedition of the Benin kingdom in 1880s.

“What the APC did yesterday in Edo State before the gate of the highly reverred Oba is unacceptable.This is what Edo has degenerated to under the APC desperate move to seize power by act of violence.”

On the chances of the PDP in the state he said

“We are winning,Edo people want Obaseki, c”est fini Obaseki has performed,He has touched the lives of the people,He wants the right thing to be done. “We will make sure we defend Obaseki’s victory.INEC do the right thing because we would not accept you to rig or write anything.if you rig Edo Election,we will confront you.If you are in the military, you would by the oath of your office allow for a free and fair election”

Imasuagbon said that the APC can not win the election because the PDP has the number to win..

He said that with the PDP,’s numerical strength, together with
more than two thirds of APC people who have joined the PDP, the party will win.

According to him,men women and children are yearning for the governor to come back and finish his good works.

“People like Oshiomole going on his knees thinking that the Binis are fools., the Binis are not fools. He went on his knees today begging the Binis that he made a mistake.,Obaseki is not a mistake.He is a huge blessing.”

Defending the position of the APC was Samson Osagie,a former member of the House of Representatives who stated that the violence was orchestrated by the PDP , said

“The incoming APC government by Pastor Ize Iyamu would provide massively for security,,we will provide for infrastructure, that is what we don’t have right now.l don’t know how they measure performance, Today there is no security in Edo State and yet security votes have been increased..The Infrastructures they talk about are being washed away by the few roads they managed to tar.

“Now in Education they said they have done massively well,as we speak no public student or pupil is learning on- line and yet billions of naira have been spent on consultants to train teachers and to procure technologies.We don’t know what impact they are making.

“The government has failed the people.It has continued to deceive us and we know that our people already understand clearly that this is not a government to be trusted and above all,I want to assure you that the Oshiomole they are crying all over the place about is not a candidate in this election and since he is not a candidate in this election,they have missed the point.

“What are they going to do in the next four years they have not told you and we are telling you APC that we have a blueprint on how to develop our Infrastructures,our manpower needs,our education,our agriculture and so on and so forth.”
