…,. Says Atiku, supporters turn PDP into Student Union
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says he has begun the process of promoting civil servants that are due in the state.
According to the governor,he has sent a list of members of the Civil Service Commission saddled with the responsibility for screening at the State House of Assembly to achieve the goal of the government in that regard.
The governor who announced the development Thursday at the commissioning of Igwuruta internal road in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state also disclosed his government plan to employ 10,000 youths in the state.
Wike mocked members of the Atiku’s camp for opposing power shift to the South saying that was the reason for their defeat.
He said they are wearing black mourning their defeat while he,is wearing white symbolising happiness and success in delivering three Senatorial candidates add 9 out of 11 House of Representatives candidates so far declared. He expressed optimism that his party will win the remaining two seats for the House of Representatives.
Wike described the protest by the Presidential Candidate of the PDP and his supporters to the headquarters of the Index National Electoral Commission INEC as nauseating saying that they have turned the party into a student union( aluta continua) meaning ” The Struggle Continues”.
The governor assured that he will win the gubernatorial election for his party candidate, Siminalayi Fubara come March 18 and urged detractors and trouble makers to steer clear.
Wike also berated the former governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi over his statement on
abandoned property.
Amaechi had in a meeting with Igbos urged them to vote for his candidate,Mr Tonye Cole as governor of the state as basis for compensation over their abandoned property in the state.
However, Wike queried the former governor s sense of reasoning in bringing up the issue asking why he, Amaechi who spent 8 years in office could not do so but only realised his love for the Igbos now.
He described his predecessor as one who is unstable saying he does things when it suits him
The governor said Amaechi spoke about power going back to the South when he was aspiring to become the presidential candidate of his party but when he didn’t succeed he decided to support power to be retained in the north which is why he backed Atiku Abubakar at the just concluded presidential election.
He asked the people of Igwuruta to reciprocate the kind gesture of road construction by voting on massively for Sim Fubara of the PDP and House of Assembly candidates of the party on March 18 gubernatorial election.
