President elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Governor of Rivers State as a man of integrity and dependable.
Tinubu made the remark on Wednesday at the commissioning of the 12th Flyover- Rumuola/ Rumuokwuta in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The president elect said he was very happy to be in the state said the reception accorded him by the government and the people of the state was a “great honour and moment for me”
He expressed delight in his victory at the polls in view of the extremely hectic campaigns but said he could not have won without some structural help.
He said . Wike is a man of principles,a man of great integrity who promoted unity, fairness and championed justice..saying his commissioning of projects in Rivers State is another way of building bridges .
He said with the development drive of Gov Wike, there is something to look forward to in the country.
For the 12th flyover,I owe you nothing. It’s your road. You can’t chuckle me to make a demand, you are the one living on this road.You have to lobby me to collect Nyesom, As you make people happy, create excitement and development across this state,,we have something to look forward to , Nigeria.You and I must discuss that.Not expected indebtedness
Earlier, Governor Wike had thanked the President elect for fulfilling his promise of coming to the state to commission projects
Wike said the visit was first of its kind as it was the first assignment to be undertaken by Tinubu since his declaration as President elect.
The governor expressed hope that the President elect would put the state on the front lane of development .
The president elect waa accompanied on the visit by state governors including Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma,Kwara state governor,Abdulrazak, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.
Others are Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker, House of Representatives and a former governor of Osun state, Chief Bisi Akande
