President Bola Tinubu left Lagos for Abuja on Sunday afternoon after spending quality time with kinsmen and party supporters during the Eid-el Kabir festival.
Before arriving Lagos for the annual Muslim festival, Tinubu was in France for the Global Financial Pact Summit where he sold investment opportunities that abound in Nigeria to the rest of the world.
The president, shortly before his departure to France also carried out sweeping changes in Federal Government Parastatals Agencies,Commissions and Companies. He dissolved Boards not under the Third Schedule Part 1 Section (153)(1) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Tinubu also sacked service Chiefs and immediately named their replacement. He also took bold steps in ending the Fuel subsidy regime while suspending and effecting the arrest of Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC for alleged misconduct.
This week , expectations are high as many look forward to more pluses for the president particularly in the area of ministerial appointment.
Current matters gathered that the president may have pencilled down for his cabinet, those he preferred that are trustworthy to deliver his mandate to the people of Nigeria.
The list reliably gathered has a chunk of well informed party faithful, Technocrats within and in the Diaspora and a few from other Political parties.
The president while addressing a crowd of supporters in Lagos promised to deliver a country where region , religion, tribe and tongue would no longer have a space but oneness at the peak.
Tinubu is also expected to hint Nigerians who are groaning under the removal of fuel subsidy, what immediate measures would be adopted with the proceeds of the first tranche of the end of the subsidy regime.
