The Senate has commenced screening of the 28 Ministerial nominees recommended by President Bola Tinubu.
The first person that was screened was Abubakar Momoh , the nominee from Edo state who was a two term member of the House of Representatives.
He was asked to take a bow after he told the senators that he served in the House of Representatives for two terms.
The second person that was screened was the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who gave a brief background of himself.( Educational & Political careers)
Wike told the senators that his passion for giving his people the best made him to commission projects until the 27th of May ,2023.
After his address, the Senate President said that people who climbed to exalted offices sooner,shut their doors at the public and hoped that it would not be the case with Wike .
On his part, the Deputy Speaker spoke about the monumental projects undertaken by Wike in Rivers State and hoped that he would replicate them across the nation .
Speaking afterwards, the leader of the Rivers Caucus, Senator Barinada Mpigi ,who spoke on behalf of the three Senators, told their colleagues that Wike is the best material in Rivers and had the support of over 5 million people.
After Mpigi’s submission, the Senate President asked Wike to take a bow.
