Maryam Shetty,one of the ministerial nominees slated to appear before the Senate for screening on Friday but whose nomination was withdrawn last minute by President Bola Tinubu has taken the development in good faith.
Shetty , dressed in black with dark goggles had zoomed into the National Assembly complex in an SUV on Friday afternoon for the screening and posed for pictures when she got wind of her replacement.
Soon after leaving the Assembly premises she took to Twittter and wrote” I was just informed now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdrawn my ministerial nomination and replaced me with Dr Mairiga Mahmud.
“I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you, My President”
“#WeBelieve #ZeroTension” she tweeted.
