
The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has invited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a meeting next month.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale on Saturday.
Ngelale quoted.the US Presidential Envoy & Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Molly Phee, as telling president Tinubu that the US
President has requested to meet him on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City to advance discussions further in late September.
She noted that Tinubu is the only African leader Biden has given such an honour.
The meeting with President Biden is first since Tinubu took the oath of office as President.
In May, The Biden ‘s administration sent a delegation to attend the inauguration of Tinubu.
