The Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has upheld the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the duly elected governor of Lagos State.
The ruling delivered by Justice Mikhail Abdullahi dismissed the petitions made by Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the LP (Labour Party) against the victory of Sanwo – Olu in the March 18 Governorship election in the state.
The Tribunal held that the governorship ticket of Sanwo – Olu and his Deputy,Dr Obafemi Hamzat is inseparable
Adediran had joined as a respondent in the petition filed by Rhodes- Vivour .
However , the Tribunal struck out the name of Rhodes-Vivour and his party, Labour party LP and all evidence and exhibits for being improperly joined.
