The Saudi Arabian Authorities have cancelled visas of all the 264 passengers airlifted by Airpeace on Sunday to Jeddah .
In what appeared to be a discriminatory action against the Nigerian carrier, the Saudi authorities insisted that the airline should return the passengers back to Nigeria after they landed at the King Abdul – Aziz International Airport , Jeddah.
The passengers who were airlifted from Kano and Abuja were said to have completed all travel formalities including the Advanced Passengers Information System ( APIS). which was monitored by the Saudi authorities.
It was gathered that the intervention of the Nigerian embassy made the Saudi authorities to reduce the number of passengers to be sent back to 177 from 264
The airline is said to be on its way back home with the 177 returned passengers.
