The crisis in Rivers State between Governor Siminilayi Fubara and his predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT,Nyesom Wike appears not to be over soon as 27 members of the state House of Assembly loyal to Wike on Monday morning defected from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to the All Progressives Congress APC.
The move comes amidst a string of court cases in favour and against the two factions of the polarised assembly.
The House was embroiled in a gale of impeachments triggering the blow up of a section of the Complex by Hoodlums in late October.
Last week, the 27 members led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule elected a new Leader of the house and Chief Whip after the former leaders allegedly impeached, formed a parallel Assembly of 4 members in support of Gov. Fubara.
Meanwhile,a member of the Assembly ,Enemi George told newsmen that their defection to the APC was taken during their sitting on Monday .
