The Super Eagles of Nigeria have advanced to the Final of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote D’voire after edging out sm South Africa two goals to none
The encounter which took place on Wednesday evening at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake saw Captain Troost Ekong shooting a penalty kick awarded Victor Osimhen in the second half of the match right into the goal post to the amazement of South African goal keeper,,Ronwen Williams who saved 4 penalties for his country against Cape Verde (Cabo Verde) in the Quarter finals of the tournament.
A few minutes after Troost penalty, South Africa equalised leading the match to extra time and penalties which Nigeria won through saves by Goal keeper, Stanley Nwabali and a final decider by Kelechi Iheanacho .
Nigeria will play against the winner of the semi final match between Cote D’voire and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final of the tournament.on Sunday.
