Nigerian Troops have arrested a notorious terrorists gunrunner identified as Ahmed Acharif with N31million in cash , a terse statement by Phantom Eye revealed on X on Wednesday.
The intelligence and security organisation which focuses on Lake Chad and North East Nigeria, said that the terrorist was arrested in Garin Dogo area of Niger Republic on Monday, February 12.
The statement further revealed that the cash found on him was for the payment for arms and ammunition sold to terrorists in Arge, Lake Chad.
It wrote: “Troops successfully apprehended notorious terrorist gunrunner Ahmed Acharif in Garin Dogo, Niger Republic, on February 12th, with 31 million Naira in cash.
“Reportedly, the cash was payment for arms and ammunition sold to terrorists in Arge, Lake Chad.” The statement added.
