“Common types of childhood cancer include leukemias, brain cancers, lymphomas and solid tumors”
In a post on its verified handle on X on Thursday,the Ministry explained that”Childhood cancers cannot generally be prevented or identified through screening.adding
“Avoidable deaths from childhood cancer result from lack of diagnosis, misdiagnosis or late diagnosis”.

“We have also launched a Cancer Partnership Program to create awareness, and further enhance access to care and medicines even for childhood cancer. These have been included in the National Cancer Control Plan”
