The Military in Mali have arrested President Ibrahim Boubakcar Keita and Prime Minister,Boubou Cisse in a suspected coup in Bamako.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Chairman of the African Union,Mousa Faki Mahamat condemned the coup of
the arrest and called on the mutineers to cease of violence.
He asked the International community to strongly oppose the use of force.
Mali has been in the boil since May after the Apex constitutional court in the country overturned results from disputed parliamentary elections.
The Court’s verdict gave the President’s party to occupy majority of the seats that were vacant.
Nigeria had been involved in efforts to bring about peace in the West African State.Indeed the former President Goodluck Jonathan,was sent as emissary to the country to further discussion on the peaceful resolution of the crisis .
