For Veronica Nnenna Anyim, a Graduate of Law of the National Open University of Nigeria,NOUN who was reportedly humiliated by her General Oversser, Pastor, Paul Enenche for claiming that she has a Bachelor of Science BSc degree in Law instead of LLB, she has left the past behind and moved on.
Veronica had stood up in the Dunamis church located along the Airport road in Abuja on Sunday to testify of God’s goodness in her life.
According to her account, she was the first graduate in a family that had gone through a cycle of challenges which enables the rapid production of either illiterates or people who didn’t go beyond primary and secondary school levels.
Veronica , with a heart- full of sincere appreciation to God for enabling her to break the jinx of educational backwardness in her family, thought she was in the right place to share her testimony and perhaps receive accolades for a rare feat but only got what was seen as unsavoury reprimand by no less a person but her pastor, who is undeniably, the role model of his followers.
Pastor Enenche according to a video sighted online dismissed Vera’s testimony as Fake and called her a” liar”
It took the hostile reactions of netizens to compel Enenche to tender an apology to the law graduate and also host her to a warm reception on Monday.
In appreciation of this, Veronica took to social media to inform the world that she bore no grudges against her spiritual family as she remains part of it adding that she had “a warm meeting” with the Enenches.
Her post reads:
“I want to inform the whole world that I just had a warm meeting with my spiritual Father and Mother dr Paul Enenche and dr Becky Enenche .
“I don’t have any grudge against the church or them.
I remain committed to serving God as a member of Dunamis Church.
I am thankful for the concern of the public.
I have put the situation at my back and I have moved forward and I want everybody to do the same, Peace .”
Meanwhile the Dunamis Church,in a letter stating the trigger for the Senior pastor,Dr Enenche’s action.
It explained that the testifier ” Veronica’s expression in English language , the number of years for the award of the degree and type of degree was what” begged the question”
The letter signed by Sylvester Edoh, the Personal Assistant Secretary to the Senior Pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre however said that no harm or hurt was intended by the Senior pastor against Veronica and regretted any inconvenience ,hurt and embarrassment the unfortunate scenario may have caused her.
