A farmer, in Ogbomosho,Oyo State,Abraham Alamu, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, for allegedly killing a herdsman, Shuaib Adamu, whose cattle was seen grazing on his farmland.
Alamu 27, was said to have attacked Adamu of Elega village in Oriire Local Government Area of the state on August 21, after he caught his cattle grazing on his farmland.
The Spokesperson of the Command,Oyo State,Olawale Olusegun, said the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation of the alleged murder.
It was learnt that the suspect evaded arrrest on August 21 and escaped to an unknown destination before Agro Rangers squad of the NSCDC at Ogbomosho tracked him down on Friday, August 28, and arrested him.
Items recovered from the suspect include carpenter working tools, scissors, hammer,,saw,nail remover, mosquito net,three ATM cards two apprentice identification cards,cloth,bible toothbrush and purse.
