The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB has released the official cut off mark for the 2024/2025 academic year for all courses in Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in the country.
This followed a meeting of stakeholders on Thursday,18th July,2024 in Abuja.
According to the Board, Universities cutoff mark is set at 140 and this applies to federal,state and private universities. The aim is to ensure that candidates possess the requisite academic readiness for the rigours of university education.
The cutoff mark for polytechnics is 100. This benchmark is intended to align with the practice and technical training focus of these institutions . Candidates seeking admission into polytechnic programmes mist meet or exceed this score to be considered eligible for entry.
For Colleges of Education, the benchmark is 80 . The threshold applies to all colleges, ensuring a standard level for candidates aspiring to teacher training institutions. This measure aims to streamline admission processes and maintain a consistent academic standard” the commission said.
