The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC,Kano command has arrested a 35- year – old man accused of duping individuals offering them fake jobs in the state’s civil service and government departments.
The Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.
Speaking through the State commandant, Ibrahim said ” The suspect,Mu’azu Mohammed Ibrahim,32 years old,a resident of Sagagi Quarters,Kano Municipal LGA was arrested after weeks of intense tracking of his whereabouts following complaints lodged by individuals, mostly women, who had been duped by the suspect of N1.2 million.
The suspect allegedly deceived his victims by posing as a high – ranking government official with the ability to get them jobs in various government ministries, departments, and agencies which turned out to be fraudulent.
The NSCDC spokesman said that the investigation into the matter has been concluded, and the suspect will be prosecuted.
