The state governor,Okezie Ikpeazu in a statement issued by the Commissioner of Information,John Okiyi Kalu, directed the state Commissioner of Police to ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of the developer and the site engineer, Bassey Afokwalam who is already in custody.
Ikpeazu also directed the search and rescue team to continue work at the site to ensure that nobody remains trapped in the rubbles and called on the security agents to provide adequate security for the team operation.
One person was reportedly brought out of the rubbles alive while three others,two females and a male were confirmed dead
