Men of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested a suspected Yahoo Boy ( Internet fraudster) identified as Ajayi, for killing his girlfriend and dismembering her body for rituals.
The victim, identified as Salome Enejo ,was a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps and resident of Nyanya, Abuja.
The suspect was caught with a fresh human head in Agwan Saki ,Orozo,a boundary area between the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State on Sunday and was rescued by the police from being lynched by an angry mob.
According to the Command’s Spokesman, Ramhan Nansel,” On Sunday evening, police operatives attached to the Karshi division rescued one Ajayi from an angry mob that had beaten him to pulp.
” A sack containing a fresh human head was subsequently recovered from him.A follow up investigation led police operatives to his room where dismembered human body packed into a sack was recovered.
” The suspect has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The victim was later identified to be one Salome Enejo ,a 24- year -old resident of Nyanya, Abuja and a serving corps member.
“The Commissioner of Police has ordered an investigation into the case ” Nansel added
However,an X user identified the suspect as a gospel singer.
