The National Youth Corp Members have commenced payment of the N77,000 allowance to corps members nationwide.
Current matters gathered that several corpers have received alerts since Wednesday morning.
Prior to the increase announced by the present administration in June last year,coppers were receiving N33000 as a monthly allowance.
But since the announcement ,there had been no fixed date on when the corpers would receive their payment until about a few days ago when the new Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu assured the corpers that they would receive their allowances in March.
The payment is expected to reduce social economic challenges faced by the beneficiaries as well as boost their confidence and morale during their one year mandatory service to the nation .
