Adamawa State Government has commenced the house to house search it announced earlier to reclaim goods that were looted by hoodlums in the state.
The state Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri in a state-wide broadcast on Tuesday, described the looters as criminals and warned that if they do not return the stolen items to either the police or palace of traditional rulers, they would be made to face the full wrath of law just as he threatened to demolish or revoke Certificate of Occupancy in any House where looted items are kept.
Fintiri disclosed that the the police have made arrest and so far 155 suspects are in police custody while nine vehicles and twelve tricycles used to load the stolen goods have been recovered.
Some of the stolen items have been recovered by Security operatives in some houses in course of the search.
