The City of Lagos on Friday, witnessed the launch of Nigeria’s first assembled electric car.
The Car named Hyundai Kona,was assembled by Stallions Automobile factory and launched by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu.
Speaking at the launch, the governor said that the state will provide charging points for the electric cars and will continue its patnership with stakeholders with novel ideas that would make Lagos to stand out.
In his address, the Managing Director of Stallions Group,Rohtagi Manish said the innovation is a step towards keying into an eco-friendlly green Lagos as the materials used to assemble the first one hundred percent electric zero-emission car was mostly sourced locally.
