The Benue Police Command has announced the arrest of suspected killer of Dr Karl Kwaghger, a lecturer in the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi,
In a statement on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer,Anene Sewuese Catherine said the suspect was arrested in Abuja where he went to sell the car of the deceased.
The lecturer was said to have been found in a pool of blood at U.S Tarka Foundation at about 21:20pm on November 28.2020
The Command on getting the information, deployed policemen to the scene where they saw that the victim had been brutality stabbed on his ribs and cut in the neck.
He was rushed to the Hospital where he was confirmed dead and his remains subsequently deposited at the morgue.
The Police statement said as Investigation began, One Nnamdi Jeremiah from Imo,an alleged accomplice and also a student of the University of Agriculture Makurdi was arrested
The suspect allegedly confessed to the crime and stated that his initial intention was to only threaten the victim with a fake gun and rob him of his car but he ended up killing him because of his resistance, and took his car away.
