The Katsina State government has confirmed that three hundred and thirty three students are missing in the Kankara college invasion on Friday.
Governor Aminu Masari disclosed this when he received a Federal Government delegation on Sunday.
Masari said that the Government Science Secondary School where the abduction took place had a population of 839 students with those kidnapped cutting across the state.
According to him, available record suggests that 333 students are being searched for t and more are still coming out from the forest, The governor said they are calling the numbers of parents who have phone numbers to find out whether or not their children have returned home in order to ascertain the actual number of students kidnapped adding that the government was yet to be contacted by any group or person responsible for the abduction of the students.
The Minister of Defence, General Bashir Magashi who led the delegation said they were in the state to sympathize with the government and people of the state over the recent abduction of secondary students and assured that with the brief they received from other security agencies, the task of rescuing the missing students will be accomplished within the next few hours .
This is soo sad the government keeps failing these girls. I hope they would be found this time around.
